We are currently hiring for a full-time contract TVI-Braillist position in a highly sought-after school district known for its inclusive practices, strong support for special education services, and collaborative environment. What You’ll Do in This Role

  • ?Provide and coordinate specialized instruction for students with visual impairments in a virtual setting

  • Ensure appropriate learning materials are prepared and accessible for students

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with school staff, administrators, teachers, parents, and service providers

  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local policies related to students with disabilities

  • Assist in evaluations and assessments during initial and reevaluation processes

  • Conduct and interpret functional vision and learning assessments

  • Provide technical expertise and support to school-based teams

  • Assist IEP teams in developing appropriate goals, objectives, and programming

  • Design, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

  • Promote research-based practices to enhance student learning

  • Participate in meetings such as PLCs, assistive technology teams, and state-level supports

  • Mentor and orient staff and service providers working with students with visual impairments

  • Manage referrals, scheduling, and caseloads to maximize efficiency and collaboration

What We’re Looking For

  • ?Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or eligible for certification

  • Strong understanding of specialized instructional strategies for students with visual impairments

  • Experience conducting functional vision and learning assessments

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with virtual instruction tools and assistive technology preferred
