Description:
Interventional Radiology RN - Pre/Post Procedural Care Position Overview
- Fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department within a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Serves inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan
- Nurses work within a multidisciplinary team
- Responsibilities include pre-procedural preparation of patients, post-procedural recovery, and overnight observation care
- Experience with GI post-procedural care is preferred but not required
- Exciting opportunity for nurses who want to work in the high-energy environment of Diagnostic Imaging
- Specializes in providing care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray, and ultrasound
- Good communication skills, as well as the ability to critically think, are essential
- Team-oriented, enthusiastic, flexible, and organized candidates are encouraged
- Medical/Surgical and telemetry experience preferred
- Pre/post and 23-hour care for IR patients
- Care for patients boarding overnight pre or post procedure
- 4x10-hour rotating shifts (Day/Evening/Night)
- Floating required per unit needs
- Holiday availability required
- Weekend availability required
- On-call/callback required
- Charge duties per unit needs
- Minimum two (2) years of Registered Interventional Radiology (IR) Nursing experience
- Telemetry experience required
- New York RN license required (New York ONLY)
- BLS - American Heart Association ONLY
