This is a RN Travel position. You must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Description:
Registered Nurse - Palliative Care / General Medicine Unit (4-1200) Shift Details
- 3x12-hour shifts
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Day, Evening, and Night rotating shifts
- Weekends, holidays, and on-call per unit need
- 4-1200 is a unit for patients (age 18 and up) with intensive symptom management needs at end of life
- The unit also cares for general medicine overflow patients
- Telemetry experience is NOT required
- Strong IV skills
- Wound care skills
- Compassion and ability to manage patients with complex needs
- Ability to support families in crisis
- Astute assessment skills to advocate for patients who often can no longer speak for themselves
- NYS RN License (New York licenses only)
- Two (2) years of recent palliative or acute med/surg experience
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps
- CHPN certification
