Description:
Operating Room RN - Level 1 Trauma Center Shift Details
- 3x12-hour shifts
- Day/Evening/Night rotating schedule
- On-call/callback, floating, holidays, and weekends per unit needs
- The OR cares for a wide variety of patients across multiple specialties
- Specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma
- Designated Level 1 Trauma Center
- 2 Da Vinci robots utilized across multiple services
- Active transplant program involving livers, kidneys, and hearts
- RN License — New York State license ONLY
- BLS certification — American Heart Association ONLY
- ACLS — preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of operating room experience
- Level 1 trauma hospital experience preferred
- Ability to scrub and circulate
- Telemetry — highly desired
- Specialty cases including transplants, plastics, and reconstructive surgery
- Craniotomy
- Strong orthopedic background
- RN License (NY License ONLY) — Required
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY) — Required
- Two (2) years of operating room experience — Required
- Ability to scrub and circulate — Required
- Level 1 trauma hospital experience — Highly Desired
- ACLS — Highly Desired
- Telemetry — Highly Desired
