Description:
Operating Room RN - Level 1 Trauma Center Shift Details
- 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights)
- On-call and callback required per unit needs
- Floating, holiday, and weekend coverage required per unit needs
- The OR cares for a wide variety of patients across multiple surgical specialties
- Specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma
- Facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Two Da Vinci robots are utilized across multiple services
- Active transplant program includes livers, kidneys, and hearts
- RN License - New York State license only
- Minimum two (2) years of operating room experience
- Level 1 trauma hospital experience preferred
- Must be able to scrub and circulate
- Telemetry experience highly desired
- BLS - American Heart Association only (required)
- ACLS - preferred
- Specialty cases including transplants, plastics, and reconstructive surgery
- Craniotomy
- Strong orthopedic background
- RN License - New York State only (required)
- BLS Certification - American Heart Association only (required)
- Two (2) years of operating room experience (required)
- Ability to scrub and circulate (required)
- Level 1 trauma hospital experience (highly desired)
- ACLS certification (highly desired)
- Telemetry (highly desired)
