Cardiac OR - Operating Room Registered Nurse
Shift: 12-Hour Shift | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Position Overview
- This position is within an Adult Cardiac Operating Room that cares for a wide variety of patients
- Case types include CABGs, TAVIs, and Heart Failure cases such as VADs, ECMO, Artificial Heart, and Heart Transplants
- Staff utilize a multidisciplinary approach and care for patients of all ages
Responsibilities
- Ability to independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases
- Cases may include CABGs, structural heart cases (Bentall), minimally invasive procedures (Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (Impella)
- Transplant and TAVI/TAVR experience is preferred but not required
Job Requirements
- RN License (NY License ONLY)
- Minimum two (2) years of experience
- Operating room experience in a Level 1 Trauma center - preferred
- Able to circulate
- Telemetry
Required Certifications
- BLS - American Heart Association ONLY
- ACLS - American Heart Association ONLY
Skills
- RN License (NY License ONLY) - Required
