Description:
Registered Nurse - Neurological Unit (Telemetry) Position Overview
- Exciting opportunity to start or advance your career on a specialized neurological unit
- Excellent environment to learn about various neurological diseases while utilizing nursing and critical thinking skills
- Fast-paced setting caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barré Syndrome, and more
- Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center
- The only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitor Unit in the region
- As a Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, the team evaluates, diagnoses, and treats seizures using state-of-the-art continuous video EEG technology
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team that values nurses' skills, talents, and compassion for the patient population
- 3x12-hour rotating shifts
- Day, Evening, and Night rotations
- Weekends required
- Holidays required
- On-call and callback per unit needs
- Charge duties per unit needs
- 48 hours per week billed at regular time (rotational shift)
- RN License — New York (NY) license only; no other state licenses accepted at this time
- Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification — American Heart Association only
- NIHSS certification — highly preferred
