This is a RN Travel position. You must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Position Overview

Description:
Registered Nurse - Palliative Care / General Medicine Unit Schedule
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Day, Evening, and Night rotating shifts
- Weekends, holidays, and on-call per unit need
- Inpatient unit caring for patients age 18 and up with intensive symptom management needs at end of life
- Also provides care for general medicine overflow patients
- Telemetry experience is NOT required
- Provide compassionate care to patients with complex needs and families in crisis
- Perform strong IV skills and wound care
- Utilize astute assessment skills to advocate for patients who often can no longer speak for themselves
- Manage patients with intensive symptom management needs at end of life
- NYS RN License (New York licenses only are accepted at this time)
- Two years of recent palliative or acute med/surg experience
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps
- CHPN certification
