This is a RN Travel position. You must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Description:
Neurosurgical Unit RN - Step-Down / PCU Shift Details
- 3x12-hour shifts
- Rotating Day, Evening, and Night shifts
- Includes weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge duties per unit needs
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- This neurosurgical unit offers extraordinary opportunities to care for a diverse patient population
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams specializing in brain tumors, spinal malformations, neuroendovascular care, and epilepsy surgery
- Mixed-acuity unit consisting of both floor-level care and an 8-bed high-acuity step-down unit
- The step-down unit serves patients with more complex needs who require hemodynamic and neurological monitoring
- Q1 neuro checks
- External ventricular drains (EVDs)
- Lumbar drains
- Subdural drains
- 3% NS administration
- Cardene drips
- Arterial lines
- Carotid endarterectomy
- Aneurysm coiling and clipping
- Deep Brain Stimulator (DBS) insertion
- VP shunts
- Seizure management
- Minimum two (2) years of RN experience
- Active RN License - New York (NY) license only accepted at this time
- Step-down and/or PCU experience required
- High-acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification - American Heart Association only
- NIHSS certification required
- ACLS certification - American Heart Association only
