This is a RN Travel position. You must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Description:
Supervisor RN - Long-Term Care (LTC) Contract Details
- 22-26-week contract through the holidays
- Full-Time Evenings: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays required
- 5x8.0 shift schedule
- Float coverage across units and between two facility locations (North and South)
- BLS Certification required — through AHA or RQI only
- NYS RN Licensure required
- Minimum of one (1) year of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Under the direction of the Director of Nursing - LTC and in accordance with established policies and procedures, oversees the operation of the nursing units
- Personally, or through subordinates, provides clinical supervision to employees assigned to the various nursing units
- Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the Nursing Department's activities, consistent with the philosophy of nursing in compliance with established policies, procedures, standards, and regulations
- Assures quality resident care through teaching and supervision of staff on respective shifts
- Communicates with the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Manager regarding identified and potential unit problems
- Collaborates with the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Managers to resolve problems
- Contacts the Director of Nursing during off hours for only those critical issues requiring resolution
- Leaves appropriate communication at work for all other non-critical items
- Makes sound administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and the Administrator - LTC (off-shift/weekends) within identified scope of responsibility
