Operating Room RN First Assistant - DaVinci Robotics
Operating Room RN First Assistant - DaVinci Robotics Position Overview
- Main OR Operating Room RFNA for DaVinci Robotics
- Registered Nurse First Assistant role
- DaVinci Experience Required
- 3x12.0 structured shift schedule
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Monday-Friday day shifts
- On call responsibilities per unit need (until 11pm only)
- No weekends
- Holidays per unit need
- Evening call and rotating holiday requirements
- RNFA is a highly trained RN who must have both a CNOR certification and have completed an RNFA program which is offered through a college or university
- Collaborates with the surgeon and the healthcare team in performing a safe operation with optimal outcomes for the patient
- Practices perioperative nursing and must have acquired the necessary knowledge, skill & judgment specific to clinical practice in the operating room and in the RNFA role
- Practices in collaboration with and at the direction of the surgeon in the operative phase of the perioperative experience
- Performs duties of OR staff RN when not assigned in RNFA role
- Combined Circ/Scrub and RNFA role
- RN License (NY License ONLY)
- DaVinci Experience Required:
- Robotic Urology
- Robotic GYN
- Robotic Colorectal
- Robotic Surgical Oncology (whipples, gastrectomies, hernias, etc)
- Robotic Thoracic
- Robotic general surgery (gall bladders, appendectomies)
- CNOR Required
- Two (2) years Experience OR experience in a level 1 trauma preferred
- NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse
- Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant course
- Robotic surgery experience preferred
- Proficient in perioperative nursing practice-preferred scrubbing and circulating experience
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- ACLS preferred (American Heart Association ONLY)
- CNOR Certification
- RN License (NY License ONLY) - Required
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY) - Required
- Two (2) Years Experience - Required
- Able to scrub and circulate preferred - Required
- DaVinci Required - Required
- ACLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY) - Nice to have
