Level II Registered Nurse - Stepdown/PCU Position Schedule Details • 3x12.0 hour shifts • D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedule • Weekends, Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs Position Overview • Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence based practice, The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent care based on established standards • The Level II Registered Nurse assumes an expanded role, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities Required Experience
MUST HAVE STEPDOWN EXPERIENCE
• MUST HAVE STEPDOWN EXPERIENCE/PCU EXPERIENCE • High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required • Telemetry Experience Required • Two (2) Years Experience • Needs experience in Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3%NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS Insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator), VP shunts, seizures Required Certifications • BLS • RN License (NY License ONLY) Preferred Certifications • ACLS is preferred • NIHSS is preferred Skills Requirements • Two (2) years Experience - Required • RN License (ONLY NY Licenses are accepted at this time) - Required • BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) - Required • Telemetry Experience Required - Required • ACLS (Preferred) (American Heart Association ONLY) - Required • Stepdown/PCU Experience - Required • NIHSS (Preferred) - Required
