Position Overview
Type of Position: Travel. You must live more than 50 miles outside of Rochester, NY to be considered for this position.
Description:
Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse Position Overview
- Fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department in a level 1 Trauma center
- Serve inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan
- Work within a multidisciplinary team environment
- High energy environment of Diagnostic Imaging specializing in CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray and ultrasound
- D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedule
- Floating assignments
- Holidays and weekends
- On call/callback availability
- Charge per unit needs
- Pre-procedural preparation of patients
- Post procedural recovery care
- Overnight observation care
- Pre/post and 23hr care for IR patients
- Care for patients boarding overnight pre or post procedure
- Provide care for patients undergoing various diagnostic imaging procedures
- 2 years' Registered IR Nursing experience
- Telemetry Experience Required
- New York RN license (ONLY)
- Medical/Surgical and telemetry experience preferred
- Experience with GI post procedural care is preferred but not required
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to critically think
