Position Overview
Type of Position: Travel
Description:
Outpatient Cardiology RN Position Shift Details
- Full Time Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
- No weekends or holidays
- 5x8 hour shifts
- Minimum: RN graduate
- Preferred: BSN
- BLS (through AHA or RQI specifically)
- ACLS (through AHA or RQI specifically)
- NY RN License
- Minimum: 2-years patient care with recent arrhythmia recognition/cardiology experience
- Preferred: ICU or Cardiology Nursing experience, moderate sedation competency, experience with Meditech
- Performs ETTs and Nuclear Stress Testing
- Conducts initial patient interview and makes preliminary assessment of test data
- Prepares study for physician interpretation
- Works closely with physicians, cardiac rehab/cardiology supervisor to assure accurate and timely results
- Monitors patients before, during, and after procedures. Provides patient and family education
- Assists with monitoring for special procedures (ex: stress-echo studies, tilt table studies, etc.)
- Recognizes emergency situations and responds according to policy/protocol
- Identifies and interprets arrhythmias
- Performs conscious sedation as needed
