Description:
Psychiatric Technician - Inpatient Behavioral Health Shift Details
- 3x12-hour shifts
- Day/Evening/Night rotating schedule
- Includes holidays, weekends, on-call, and callback per unit needs
- Seeking a compassionate team player to provide direct care and clinical services to inpatient psychiatric patients on an individual basis
- Assists with activities of daily living, social rehabilitation, and psychiatric rehabilitation as directed by the RN
- Communicates effectively with patients and ensures they have access to required services
- Informs the RN of any changes in patient condition
- Participates in rounds and group therapy as needed
- Works with children and adolescents ranging in age from 8 to 18
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a psychiatric technician
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Psychology or Sociology required
- Must have experience working with children and adolescents ranging from ages 8-18
- 2 years of experience as a psychiatric technician
- BLS certification
- Associate's Degree in Psychology or Sociology
