Phlebotomist – Full-Time Local Contract
Location: Cherry Hill, NJ
Pay Rate: $26.50/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Rotating Saturdays, 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM, if needed)
Assignment Dates: July 6, 2026 – October 3, 2026
Hours: 40 hours per week

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join a busy outpatient laboratory team in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. In this role, you will perform blood collections for patients of all ages while ensuring exceptional patient care and specimen quality. Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients ranging from infants to older adults.
- Accurately identify patients using established safety protocols.
- Label and process specimens with a high level of accuracy.
- Enter patient demographics, physician orders, and billing information into electronic medical record and laboratory systems.
- Monitor patients during specimen collection and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions.
- Process and distribute specimens according to laboratory procedures.
- Maintain specimen integrity while following infection prevention and laboratory safety standards.
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally and assist with laboratory-related inquiries.
- Research specimen collection requirements and coordinate special or referral testing as needed.
- Maintain laboratory supplies and notify leadership when inventory needs replenishing.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, including temperature monitoring and preventive maintenance checks.
- Assist with training and supporting new staff members when appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, safety policies, and laboratory procedures.
- Promote a positive patient experience through excellent communication and professionalism.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the laboratory team.
- Completion of a Phlebotomy training program or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Strong venipuncture and capillary collection skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to specimen accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the laboratory team.
