Description:
MRI Technologist Shift Details
- Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 PM-6:30 AM
- Holidays per unit needs
- Shift: 5x8.0
- Assignment Length: 17 weeks
- Seeking an MRI Technologist to join the team
- Must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus
- Ideal candidate can operate the MRI machine efficiently, make patients feel comfortable before and during scanning, and coordinate with physicians to ensure timely delivery of results
- Must be familiar with medical terminology and able to stand for extended periods
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
- Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
- Insert IVs when necessary for the test
- Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information
- Patient care tasks as needed
- Two (2) years of experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- MUST HAVE GE SCANNER EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience
- Certification through the ARRT
- MUST HAVE INJECTION CERTIFICATION TO BE CONSIDERED
- NYS Rad Tech license — must be willing to obtain this after starting
- Certification through the ARRT or a similar organization — Highly Desired
- Two (2) years of experience — Required
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) — Required
- NY License ONLY — Required
- Injection Certification — Required
