Description:
Environmental Services Aide (Housekeeper) - Hospital Setting
Schedule: Full Time | 3:00pm - 11:30pm | Every other weekend required
Education
- Minimum: None required
- Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
- None required
- Minimum: None required
- Preferred: Previous hospital housekeeping experience
- Operates and maintains electrical, battery, and mechanical equipment in safe working condition, including burnisher, auto scrubber, rotary scrubber, vacuum cleaner, etc.
- Complies with established policies and procedures regarding Infection Control, Right to Know, and Personal Protective Equipment requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemicals, radiation, and other hazardous substances
- Incorporates safety into all aspects of work; uses "wet floor" signs properly, responds to emergency pages, uses proper body mechanics (ergonomics), and properly uses chemicals including usage and dispensing
- Maintains assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition for patients, residents, guests, visitors, and staff; cleans beds, restrooms, furniture, fixtures, etc.; refills supplies; promptly removes trash and linen
- Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Previous hospital housekeeping experience (nice to have)
