Description:

Endoscopy / GI Technician - Travel Assignment Schedule
  • Monday - Friday, Day shift with Night call rotation
Position Overview
  • Travel experience is required — candidates must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
Responsibilities
  • Applies principles of aseptic technique to equipment preparation and maintenance and when assisting with procedures
  • Identifies any potential compromise to sterile or High Level Disinfectant integrity of items throughout the procedure
  • Disassembles, identifies defective or malfunctioning parts, and provides preventive maintenance for all procedure supplies and equipment
  • Performs all pre-cleaning requirements per regulatory standards for all endoscopes, including inspection, leak testing, cleaning, high level disinfecting, and identifying needed repairs
  • Follows established protocols for reprocessing endoscopes and accessories and for storing equipment
  • Determines methods of High Level Disinfection mode for products based on material and/or manufacturer's instructions
  • Checks and calibrates equipment according to equipment protocol
  • Performs ambulatory technician duties as assigned, including but not limited to obtaining and documenting vital signs and transporting patients
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
  • At least one completed travel assignment required
  • No licensure or certifications required
  • HLD (High Level Disinfection) Certification is highly encouraged
