Medical Assistant (MA) - Specialty Medicine Clinic | Berwyn, PA Position Overview
- Full-time, Temp-to-Hire opportunity — candidates must be open to converting to permanent staff
- Pay rate up to $22/hour during contract period
- Upon conversion to full-time staff, approximate pay rate is $21-$22/hour
- Program: Local Contract Allied Health
- Core shift hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Work hours may range between 6:45 AM and 6:00 PM
- Tuesdays have extended hours until 8:00 PM
- The MA must remain until the physician has completed care for all patients — flexibility to stay beyond the scheduled end time is required
- Schedules are adjusted as needed in cases of shifts worked over 8 hours
- The practice manager releases shift schedules one week in advance

- Candidates should be able to commute to this location in 30 minutes or less; traffic is always a factor when commuting in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs

- The Medical Assistant (MA) assists the practice manager and physicians in maintaining a patient/customer focus
- Supports the delivery of high-quality care
- Shares a passion for patient and customer centered care
- Assists in meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction and financial/operational targets
- Provides patient care through performance of patient preparation, interviewing, technical tasks, and patient/family communication
- Minimum 18 months of CMA experience required
- Previous Epic experience preferred
- Candidates who need minimal training and are able to contribute to practice immediately are preferred
- Two rounds of interviews:
- Round 1: Microsoft Teams (virtual)
- Round 2: In-person
- 4-hour EMR training held on Fridays
- Training is conducted virtually
- Compliance documentation is due on the Wednesday before the start date
- Candidates must be ready to begin the compliance process immediately upon accepting the award
- Medicals and drug screens must be started within 72 hours of accepting the award
- Candidates who do not begin this requirement within 72 hours are at risk of having the contract cancelled
- Scrub color: Maroon/Burgundy
- Candidates must bring their own stethoscope on the first day
