This is a Travel position. You must live more than 30 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Description:

CT Technologist Position Shift Details
  • 3x12 hour shifts
  • Overnight schedule
  • Weekends and holidays required
  • On call and callback per unit needs
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
  • Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
  • Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
  • Insert IVs when necessary for the test
  • Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling
  • Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
  • Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
Requirements
  • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position)
  • Two (2) Years' Experience
  • Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
  • BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
Preferred
  • Injection certification preferred-must be willing to complete during orientation process
  • Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
Soft Skills Required
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • A patient and compassionate disposition
  • Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment
Required Skills and Experience
  • Level I Trauma Experience - 2 Years
  • CT Tech License (NY ONLY)
  • BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
  • Two (2) years experience
  • Siemens Scanner Experience - 6 Months
  • Epic Experience - 1 Year (Highly desired)
