Description:
CT Technologist Position Schedule Details • Monday - Friday; 3pm - 11:30pm EST • On call/callback • Holidays and occasional weekends Duties and Responsibilities • Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety • Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging • Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable • Insert IVs when necessary for the test • Positions patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling • Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion • Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility Requirements • HCPs currently registered in NYS will be required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license at time of submission • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) • NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position) • Two (2) Years' Experience • Level 1 Trauma Center Experience • BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) • Telemetry Preferred • Injection certification preferred-must be willing to complete during orientation process • Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred Soft Skills Required • Effective written and verbal communication skills • A patient and compassionate disposition • Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment Skills • Trauma 1 Experience - Required • ARRT - Required • NYS Rad Tech license - Required • BLS - Required • 2 years of CT experience - Required
