Dietician: FT schdedule M-F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Minimum of 3 months with option to extend
Please Note: The start date commences when all compliance and clearance requirements have been met by the selected candidate.
Duties of the Dietician:
•?Provide nutrition care to individuals served throughout Hospital.
•?Create nutrition plans to improve the health and physical conditions of individuals.
•?Analyzes the individuals’ health status, goals, and dietary restrictions, tracks the patient’s dietary intake and progress and educating patients on how to maintain a balanced diet.
•?Consults to patients, families, and treatment team regarding nutrition needs
•?Writes appropriate nutrition related recommendations in the medical record
•?Approves patients’ menus and provides this information to the Food Service Director
Job Requirements:
•?Graduation from an accredited college or university with BS in Dietetics and or Nutrition
•?Must be Registered Dietician (RD) with the National Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics
•?Licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners
•?Possess valid Texas driver’s license
•?Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Dietician
•?Must possess excellent verbal and written skills necessary to communicate with Physicians, staff, patients’, and patients’ family
•?Must be certified by the American Heart Association –BLS in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and maintain that certification
Requested Schedule:
•?Dietician will typically work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Mon-Fri), but shift pattern is subject to change as determined by the Food Services Director to meet needs of the hospital.

- Recommends revisions to the plan of care, after evaluation of resident outcomes and indicates the need for referrals to ensure all aspects of the resident's care have been addressed. Collaborates with the resident/family and members of the Interdisciplinary Team within the scope of nursing practice assuring customer satisfaction

What You’ll Do in This Role
- Provide direct instruction in Braille reading and writing to students with visual impairments
- Adapt classroom materials into accessible formats using Braille and assistive technology

- Conduct assessments and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students on your caseload

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Visual Impairment or equivalent certification
- Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Proficiency in Braille instruction and the use of assistive technology for visually impaired learners
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required
