Travel Registered Nurse – Float Pool (Day/Night Rotation)
$3,168 Weekly Pay | 13-Week Assignment | Finger Lakes Region, NY
Position Type: Contract – Travel
Location: Finger Lakes Region, New York State
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Hours: Full-time, 48 hours per week with no on call required (36 hours shift per week - plus two on-call shifts over a four-week period is also an option)
Hourly Rate: $66 per hour
Weekly Gross Pay: $3,168 per week
Additional Compensation: Tax-free stipends available for those who qualify

Position Overview
The Registered Nurse will deliver high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients admitted for a wide range of medical conditions. As part of a collaborative and supportive healthcare team, you will assess patient needs, develop and adjust care plans, educate patients and families, and advocate for optimal patient outcomes.
You will work a rotational schedule covering days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care by applying clinical judgment, nursing theory, and current practice standards
- Assess and monitor patient condition and progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to plan and coordinate care
- Administer medications and therapeutic interventions as appropriate
- Provide individualized patient and family education to support post-discharge recovery
- Promote patient safety and infection control in all areas of care
- Participate in quality improvement activities and self-directed professional development
- Contribute to a healing environment that supports both physical and emotional well-being
Requirements
- Active and unencumbered New York State RN license
- Must be cross trained for multi units (Med/Surg, ICU, ER)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI only)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- Must be willing to rotate shifts including weekends and holidays
- Local candidates are not eligible to apply for RN travel positions
