About the Role
In this school-based role, you will:
- Interpret classroom lessons, activities, and routines using appropriate sign language
- Support student participation in classroom and school activities
- Adjust communication style based on student’s age and developmental level
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, and families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school district and state standards
What We're Looking For
- Associate’s Degree in Educational Interpreting or a related field from an accredited program
- Must obtain an EIPA score of 3.5 within 3 years of employment
- Minimum 3 years experience in an educational setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for equitable education
- Experience in early childhood or preschool educational environments
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate interpreting strategies
