Schedule: Full-Time (7:45 AM - 3:15 PM), 2025–2026 School Year
Pay Rate: $47.21 per hour

    About the Role
    In this school-based role, you will:
    • Interpret classroom lessons, activities, and routines using appropriate sign language
    • Support student participation in classroom and school activities
    • Adjust communication style based on student’s age and developmental level
    • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, and families
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school district and state standards
    What We're Looking For
    • Associate’s Degree in Educational Interpreting or a related field from an accredited program

    • Must have EIPA score or have completed the IDHHC Interpreter Test with score in hand

    • Must have ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education) approval - District will assist in completing the approval process if needed
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for equitable education
