This is a travel nurse position. Candidates must live 50 or more miles from the facility  to be considered for this position. 

RN Supervisor – Evening Shift
$2,400 per Week | 13-Week Contract | Finger Lakes Region, NY
Assignment Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: Full-Time, 5x8-hour evening shifts
Schedule: Evenings, every other weekend, holidays required
Hourly Rate: $60
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,400
Additional Pay: Tax-free stipends available to those who qualify

About the Role
As the RN Supervisor, you’ll oversee multiple nursing units during the evening shift, ensuring continuity of care, adherence to clinical protocols, and supportive supervision for nursing staff. This is a key leadership role that requires the ability to make sound decisions, support staff development, and maintain high standards of patient safety and dignity.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Overseeing day-to-day clinical operations across multiple long-term care units
  • Providing guidance and supervision to nursing staff to ensure quality patient care
  • Acting as the primary decision-maker in the absence of the Director of Nursing and Administrator during off-shift hours
  • Teaching, coaching, and supporting staff in alignment with best practices and regulatory standards
  • Collaborating with department leaders and interdisciplinary teams to resolve concerns and improve workflow
  • Maintaining effective communication and documentation regarding unit needs and care delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) regulations and internal standards

Qualifications
  • Active RN license in New York State
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a long-term care environment
  • Prior supervisory experience across multiple units is required
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Nursing; BSN preferred
  • BLS certification through AHA or RQI (required)
  • CPI certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of NYSDOH requirements and electronic documentation systems
