Your Impact:
- You'll provide end-of-life care with a focus on managing complex patient needs and supporting families in crisis.
- Strong IV skills, wound care knowledge, and compassionate communication are essential, as well as astute assessment abilities to advocate for patients who are no longer able to speak for themselves.
- This unit also cares for general medicine overflow, offering variety in your daily work.
- You have a passion for compassionate care: Your experience in palliative or acute med/surg environments means you're ready to step into a role where you can make a real impact.
- You bring your skills to the table: Your proficiency in IV management, wound care, and patient-controlled analgesia pumps (or CHPN certification) will be highly valued.
- You’re experienced and skilled: With at least two years of recent palliative or acute med/surg experience and BLS certification, you're well-prepared to deliver outstanding care.
- Current NYS RN License
- 2+ years of recent palliative or acute med/surg experience
- BLS Certification (from AHA)
- Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification (highly desired)
- Schedule: 36 or 48-hour shifts, rotating days/evenings/nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as per unit needs.
- Pay Package: Competitive weekly pay based on 12-hour shifts and a 36-hour work week (subject to confirmation), plus a tax-free stipend (amount to be determined).
