This is a travel nurse position.  Candidates must reside 50 miles or more from Finger Lakes Region, NY to be considered for this position.

$2,520 Weekly Pay | 13-Week Assignment | Finger Lakes Region, NY
Position Type: Contract – Travel
Location: Finger Lakes Region, New York State
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Hours: Full-time, 6:30am/7:30am-15:30/16:30 (4-day x 9hr/day contracts) with full call rotation Hourly Rate: $70 per hour
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,520 per week
Additional Compensation: Tax-free stipends available for those who qualify

Position Overview:
The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (Endo RN) applies advanced nursing theory, technical expertise, and effective communication skills to provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients. The Endo RN is responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment & Planning:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patient/family needs using clinical knowledge, direct observation, and collaborative input.
  • Develop culturally relevant, individualized care plans in partnership with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans based on condition changes or evolving needs.
  • Care Delivery & Advocacy:
  • Administer direct care and specialized interventions, including medication administration and post-procedure monitoring.
  • Promote patient safety and rights while fostering trust and collaboration across healthcare teams.
  • Coordinate care throughout the patient’s episode, ensuring a seamless and healing experience.
  • Education & Support:
  • Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, lifestyle modifications, and disease management strategies.
  • Tailor teaching methods to individual learning styles and assess comprehension.
  • Document educational activities and patient responses accurately.
  • Professional Practice & Development:
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and implement findings to enhance care delivery.
  • Engage in ongoing self-assessment and professional development.
  • Use critical thinking and clinical reasoning to resolve complex care issues.
  • Creating a Healing Environment:
  • Establish meaningful, empathetic connections with patients and families.
  • Demonstrate presence, active listening, and respect for patient priorities.
  • Uphold the principles of dignity, compassion, and holistic care.
    Qualifications:
    • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York
    • Minimum of 1 clinical nursing experience; Endoscopy or acute medical unit experience preferred
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI only)
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, teach, and deliver patient-centered care
    • Commitment to infection prevention and occupational safety standards
    • Comfortable working in settings with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens
    • Must be willing to rotate shifts including weekends and holidays
    • Local candidates are not eligible to apply for RN travel positions

    Your Pay Package: This role is based on 4 9-hour shifts, working a total of 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation). Your pay package will include a tax-free stipend—the amount will be determined based on your assignment.
