About the Role:
Are you a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant looking to make an impact in patient care? You will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for patients. From drawing blood to performing EKGs, your expertise will be vital in providing high-quality care.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting routine medical assistant tasks, including accurately recording vitals in the EMR (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, and weight).
- Performing blood draws and specimen collection with precision and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Performing EKGs and basic diagnostic tests (e.g., glucose finger sticks, INR tests).
- Supporting patients during transitions in and out of wheelchairs, toilets, beds, or other equipment as needed.
- Assisting physicians during examinations, setting up and cleaning equipment.
- Providing translation services when needed (Bilingual in Korean, Chinese, or Bengali preferred).
- Assisting with front desk tasks, customer issues, and coordinating follow-up visits and transportation.
- A Certified Medical Assistant with phlebotomy and EKG certification.
- Skilled in venipuncture with at least 1 year of experience (experience with elderly populations preferred).
- Friendly, empathetic, and patient-centered, with a strong commitment to customer service.
- Organized and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual skills in Korean, Chinese, or Bengali are a plus!
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical technician training.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and other basic computer skills.
- Physical ability to assist patients and perform daily tasks.
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours per week).
- Occasional weekends as needed.
