- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week with flexible shift options (up to 5-8 hour shifts (possibility to 4-10 hour shifts, no rotating schedule!). Plus, just 2-3 call shifts per month and at least 1 holiday assignment—giving you a great work-life balance.
As an Interventional Radiology Rad Tech, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality radiologic images, supporting neurosurgery/neuroscience patients, and working alongside a compassionate, skilled team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating X-ray equipment, including CR and DR systems, and assisting the radiologist during procedures.
- Administering oral contrast and preparing patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic exams.
- Collaborating with department members to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Maintaining patient privacy, respecting their rights, and showing empathy in all interactions.
- Completing all assigned procedures in a timely manner and assisting with other tasks when time permits (like clerical duties or stocking).
- Experience: At least two years of experience, ideally with Interventional Radiology (IR) experience. If you come from other modalities, don’t worry—we offer a comprehensive training program for IR.
- Licensing: Must be licensed in New York State and hold a current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Skills: Proficiency with Radiology Information Systems (RIS), PACS, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
